Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PyDebug ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and services (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: name and email address, collected when you sign up.
  • Usage data: problems attempted/solved, hints used, XP and streak progress.
  • Payment data: when you purchase Premium, payment is processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details — Razorpay handles that directly and shares only the payment status and transaction ID with us.
  • Technical data: standard web logs (IP address, browser type) collected automatically by our hosting provider.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide and maintain the Service (your account, progress, and Premium access)
  • To process payments and prevent fraud
  • To send account-related emails (password resets, payment confirmations)
  • To show relevant advertising to free-plan users (see Section 4)

3. Data storage

Your account and progress data is stored securely with Supabase, our database provider. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted online.

4. Advertising

Free-plan users may see ads served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can learn more about how Google uses this data and opt out of personalized advertising at Google's Partner Sites policy. Premium users do not see ads.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:

  • Supabase — authentication and database
  • Razorpay — payment processing
  • Google AdSense — advertising
  • Netlify — website hosting

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us (see Contact page). You may delete your account and associated data by writing to us.

7. Children's privacy

PyDebug is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
